Albizia actually refers to a specific genus of tropical flowering trees that is made up of more than 150 species. The trees are native to Africa, Asia, Madagascar, America, and Austrailia. More importantly, albizia species contain high concentrations of saponins, polyphenols, and triterpenoids, all of which have an important impact on human health. Albizia can be applied both topically and internally.
Albizia contains saponins and other compounds that help to:
